Chef JJ at Wanderlust did such a phenomenal job with the food at our wedding! From the first interaction to the last he was responsive, helpful, and generally lovely. He worked with us to customize the menu so that it perfectly matched what we were going for. He had a huge variety of options to start with; it was hard to narrow it down and select a few. My husband and I went to his tasting room on Bainbridge to make sure we liked all the food we’d selected, and JJ made it clear that we could adjust anything that we didn’t love. But it was truly wonderful, we didn’t need to change a thing. JJ also took special care to make our private tasting feel like a fun event and a date night all in itself. You can tell he really cares about the quality and presentation of his food, he will totally geek out on it. You want this in a chef! At the same time he is so far from snobby or uptight as some chefs can be. I really can’t recommend JJ enough and I’m so grateful that we chose him and his team for our wedding. The food looked great, tasted great, and shockingly, was actually one of the most affordable options we considered. Choose Wanderlust, you will not regret it, I promise!  - Keena B.

JJ catered our 100 person wedding brunch this past June. He was amazing to work with from beginning to end. Leading up to the event, he met with us several times to make sure that we had the details just right. He developed a delicious brunch menu, highlighting flavors of the PNW along with in-season fruits and vegetables. This was a lot of fun for us since we had so many guests from out of town. On the day of the event, his execution was flawless & the food was fantastic. One of the sweetest moments as new Bride and Groom was walking into the venue and a person we had never met before walked up with a smile and said "let me make you some plates-go sit down". It's small details like that that separate the excellent from the good. JJ is both! We could not have imagined a better experience overall. JJ is flexible, responsible, accommodating and communicative. His food is beautifully presented and equally tasty. Kudos to JJ. If you have the opportunity to book JJ and Wanderlust, do it!!! We were lucky enough to have him as the caterer for our wedding and cannot recommend him highly enough. The food, of course, was absolutely wonderful (the gazpacho appetizer was a huge hit!). But on top of that, he and his staff were so professional and attentive - making sure we felt like royalty throughout our day (and that we actually got to eat!)
